Honey.

Honeycomb.

Our Story.

Established in 2020, the Black Bee Apiary began as a backyard hobby with sustainable apiculture as our core philosophy.

The apiary has grown since then but our operation remains small-scale to ensure our bees can live comfortably in a natural environment without having to struggle to compete for resources.

We don’t send them away to pollinate monocultures or feed them any substitute honey or syrup.

They live permanently at Towri Sheep Cheeses, foraging on the plentiful bounty of native flora across Queensland’s Scenic Rim.

Honey bees (apis mellifera) – master craftsmen and builders, and top of the list as the most important species on Earth.

Without them, there is no us.
